Your First Step into Regulated Pre-Hospital Emergency Care

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), commonly known as FREC 3, provides learners with the knowledge, practical skills and clinical understanding required to provide first-response emergency care in a pre-hospital environment.

Delivered by experienced frontline clinicians at the APLUS training facility in Bolsover, Chesterfield, our FREC 3 course is delivered over five days and combines theory, practical skills and realistic scenario-based training to prepare learners for the challenges of providing emergency care before the arrival of, or alongside, further clinical support.

ABOUT FREC 3

FREC 3 is a regulated Level 3 Pre-Hospital Care Qualification designed for individuals who may be responsible for providing Emergency Care in their workplace, voluntary role, or operational environment.

The qualification develops the skills required to assess and manage patients experiencing a range of medical and traumatic emergencies, within the learner's defined scope of training.

It is particularly suited to those who may be among the first to arrive at an emergency, including Event Medical Responders, Security Professionals, Emergency Service Personnel, Community Responders, and those working in higher-risk environments.

FREC 3 also provides a recognised progression route for learners looking to continue their development within Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, including progression towards FREC 4.
